AUDIO VISUAL MINISTRY TEAM

We have all come to expect things to work rather smoothly when we attend a church service, especially when it comes to our ability to see and hear what is being presented. And, thankfully, it usually does work quite well. But there is nothing automatic about that. Behind the scenes a significant amount of planning and preparation takes place. That is true at First Baptist, also.

We have a team of individuals who have graciously offered their time and talents to make it possible for us to enjoy the services. Following some initial training, they work in the background to make our worship experience pleasant. They tend to the preparation and presentation of the PowerPoint displays. Sound levels must be monitored throughout the service. Microphones must be set up - the right kind in the right place - so we can all hear. Those tapes and CDs that are available right after our worship services are also prepared by members of this team.

Aside from monitoring what we see and hear in the services, someone has to make sure the supplies are on hand, batteries are well stocked, and that the equipment is functioning properly. Of course, these things happen during the week.

Chances are you've never thought about all that goes on just so we can hear as we should. Well, now you know there is a small army of people serving our Lord as they serve us. Why not thank God for them right now?
