How Do I Meet People?

First Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at First Baptist Church.

Care Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, First Baptist Church has small bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. At a time, designated by your group, you can participate in the small group study.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own Sunday School classes. During the worship service your child(ren) have the option of participating in Children’s Church for ages up to twelve. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of First Baptist Church is recognized for their close interaction. AWANA is another great opportunity to get involved. On Thursday nights a group of caring leaders  organize a fun and rewarding time for young children (PreK-6th grade).

Youth Group
Pastor Justin organizes time on Sunday evenings for teens to connect. Expect fun games, snacks, and time learning in God’s Word. Older teens tackle the tough issues with open, compassionate conversations about how to navigate our world with a Christ-centered viewpoint.

Women’s Group

First Baptist Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). A regularly planned meeting at the local coffee shop is open to everyone who is able to get away at 10 am on Wednesday morning. Special events are planned regularly – check the Coming Soon page to learn more.

Men’s Bible Study

Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. The men’s bible study meets on Saturdays starting at 7 am. for prayer and study at 7:45. About once a month the men enjoy a breakfast at their gathering.

Young Families

Parents with children at home are encouraged to come together with others for support, encouragement and to learn. On Sunday mornings, a group meets during the Sunday School hour and discusses a wide range of topics.

Christian Adventurers

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of First Baptist provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.
